Rabbit Hole: Take Me To Church
This day in 2013 Hozier released "Take Me to Church," the lead single from his self-titled debut album. So let's start with Rob Kirwan's production on Hozier's "Take Me To Church," and winds through Maria Doyle Kennedy, Cage The Elephant, Brandy Clark, Beach House, Mazzy Star, Pale Saints, Del Amitri, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Counting Crows, Train, and Timbaland before Ryan Tedder's songwriting pulls it toward James Blunt, Christina Perri, and Vance Joy — landing finally at Tame Impala's "Feels Like We Only Go Backwards."
